​Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in consultative sales and customer support in AV/IT or a similar technology industry

  • Proficiency in using Windows, MS Office, and customer-relationship management (CRM) software

  • Professional level of verbal, written, and listening communication skills

  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality and grammatically correct documents

  • Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Good overall knowledge of AV/IT products, design, engineering, sales, and the industry in general

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to innovative solutions for a diverse client base

  • The AV Account Executive is accountable for achieving sales and profitability goals by effectively managing both new and existing client relationships

  • This role involves meeting assigned quotas, developing business in the designated territory, and identifying opportunities in the marketplace

  • The Account Executive leads the sales process, encompassing proposal preparation, bid responses, and communication regarding project scope, schedule, and change order costs

  • Reach out to potential sales prospects through cold calling

  • Manage existing accounts by identifying and qualifying prospective customers

  • Educate customers on products and services

  • Develop and present sales quotes and proposals to achieve assigned sales objectives

  • Sell products, solutions, and services in accordance with agreed-upon strategies set by management

  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate the closure of business deals

  • Implement sales and marketing tactics and programs to meet or exceed sales objectives

  • Manage all aspects of customer accounts, including expediting purchase decisions

  • Communicate project lead times and obtain appropriate change orders

  • Assist with customer collections as needed

  • Provide sales support, coordination, and planning throughout the entire pre and post-selling process

  • Provide sales forecast data as required by Management
