Qualifications
Proven experience in commissioning and troubleshooting AV systems, including audio processors, video switchers, DSPs, and control systems (QSC, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.)
Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols relevant to AV systems, such as Dante, AVB, AVoIP, QLAN, Multicast, IGMP, etc
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules

Responsibilities
As an AV Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and commissioning of AV systems
You will work closely with our service team, technicians, and clients to ensure that tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency
Lead the commissioning of AV systems, including audio, video, control, and networking components, to ensure functionality and performance meet project requirements
Identify and troubleshoot issues with AV systems, including hardware malfunctions, software issues, and connectivity problems
Partner with technicians in the field to provide technical expertise, guidance, and support during installation, testing, and troubleshooting phases
Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate project requirements, identify potential challenges, and propose effective solutions
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them in a timely manner
Provide training and mentorship to technicians and junior engineers to enhance their technical skills and knowledge
Collaborate with programmers to resolve any outstanding issues
Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle
Assist in maintaining project documentation, including as-built drawings, equipment lists, and commissioning reports
