​​Qualifications

  • Proven experience in commissioning and troubleshooting AV systems, including audio processors, video switchers, DSPs, and control systems (QSC, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols relevant to AV systems, such as Dante, AVB, AVoIP, QLAN, Multicast, IGMP, etc

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules

Responsibilities

  • As an AV Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and commissioning of AV systems

  • You will work closely with our service team, technicians, and clients to ensure that tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency

  • Lead the commissioning of AV systems, including audio, video, control, and networking components, to ensure functionality and performance meet project requirements

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with AV systems, including hardware malfunctions, software issues, and connectivity problems

  • Partner with technicians in the field to provide technical expertise, guidance, and support during installation, testing, and troubleshooting phases

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate project requirements, identify potential challenges, and propose effective solutions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them in a timely manner

  • Provide training and mentorship to technicians and junior engineers to enhance their technical skills and knowledge

  • Collaborate with programmers to resolve any outstanding issues

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle

  • Assist in maintaining project documentation, including as-built drawings, equipment lists, and commissioning reports
