Qualifications
The Senior Audiovisual (AV) Project Manager must be an effective communicator, able to multitask and handle stressful situations while maintaining responsibility, self-motivation, and organizational excellence
Associate degree or higher, preferably with a concentration in Business Administration or Project Management
5+ years of experience in a Project Management role within the AV/IT or related industry
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and project management software such as MS Project, MS Planner, or Teamwork
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage relationships effectively between customers, general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and the Integration Manager/Supervisor
Comfortable with handling challenging conversations diplomatically
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each project stays on track
Willingness to travel for projects, including overnight stays, with durations ranging from one night to several weeks as needed

Responsibilities
This role involves managing both team and client communications while interpreting and planning each project’s scope, budget, schedule, risks, and scale
The Senior Audiovisual (AV) Project Manager ensures smooth project progression from planning through execution, commissioning, and closure
With extensive knowledge of construction-focused project management, this individual is skilled in problem-solving, making timely decisions, and coordinating with clients, installation teams, technical personnel, and subcontractors
Manage large-scale, complex, and high-profile AV/IT projects, including company-designed and consultant-designed projects
Provide leadership and task assignment for local project management staff, ensuring clear direction and scheduling
Collaborate with the estimating team to assess project resources, including labor, logistics, materials, and specialty tools
Independently or as part of a project team, plan, coordinate, schedule, and execute multiple projects in parallel, adhering to each project’s time, cost, and scope constraints
Develop and manage project schedules during the execution phase, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress to ensure successful project outcomes
Lead project implementation teams, with team structures varying based on project scale and complexity
Assign individual responsibilities, ensure team accountability, and support project execution by providing necessary documentation, instructions, schedules, materials, and tools
Maintain thorough project documentation, including meeting notes, task lists, schedules, RFIs, change orders, change logs, punch lists, and final acceptance forms to ensure organized and efficient project completion
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on AV/IT systems when required, and assist with installation testing and punch list generation to support the integration team
